BUILD FILE 02
C.R.A.D.L.E.
One school bus, six survivors and a crate of two-headed gekk eggs. Beyond the camp, the map is black.
What is on the disk
- Fog of war. Distant ruins stay hidden until a scout from the bus reaches them. Watchtowers push the dark back a little further.
- Ruins with a purpose. Dirt mounds marked ? hide a gas station, a pharmacy, a Mega Mart, a motel, a police station, a bank vault and a radio station. Dig, then restore: the bank vault reopens as a Trading Post.
- Weather and time. A day/night cycle, dust storms, acid rain, raids, caravans and wanderers. Dust storms spin the Junk Turbines faster and ruin the Dust Farms.
- A way to lose. Each settler eats one food and drinks one water a day. If every settler dies or leaves, the colony is over.
- Silence. No music, no sound effects. Only the map.
The look
The README names its models plainly: an economy in the spirit of SimPark, drawn like Warcraft II and Command & Conquer, with a top-down view and front-facing pixel-art buildings. All of that art is generated in code when the game starts.
The goal
Find and restore the Radio Station, which unlocks the blueprints for the CRADLE Beacon. Build the Beacon and broadcast to 100%. The record lists version 0.1.0, and the build splits into a page, a stylesheet and a single game script.
