SYSOP'S CORNER

One small change on the board, and it saves a lot of typing.
On the old boards, telling a friend about a file meant a paragraph of directions: log on, go to file area 7, page down twice, it is the one called RIDGE64.ZIP. Here it used to be much the same. Open the archive, find the build, scroll, click.
Now every record has its own address. Each build lives at /games/ and its name, each issue at /issues/ and its folder, and every page of an issue has an address of its own, down to this one. Paste one into a message and the person on the other end lands right there: on the record, on the cover, on the page you were reading. The windows have addresses too, so a link can open MUSIC or the QUIZ.
How to pass it on
- In a build's details, [ COPY LINK ] copies the address of that build.
- On an issue's cover, [ COPY LINK ] copies the address of the issue.
- At the bottom of every issue page, [ COPY LINK ] copies the address of that page.
- [LINK], in the frame of the archive panel and of every window, copies the address of what is on screen.
If the clipboard says no, the archive shows the address instead, so you can copy it by hand like it is 1994.
Labels on the disk
A link pasted into a chat or a forum now arrives with a proper label: the name of the build or the page, a line about it and a card in the archive's own colors. A build's card carries a still from its preview. An issue's card carries its cover art, in its own palette. This issue's card is amber.
